Mr. Rajendra Tapdia – CMD presented a paper on Predictive Transit Corrosion Protection Management at the recently held Arab Steel Summit in Dubai. Following is the summary of his presentation.

“My mill is missing the expertise to build robust corrosion prevention process. Non-experts cannot easily find hidden corrosion issues.” – This is a comment from a reputed steel conglomerate in the Corrosion Awareness survey.
Steel industry is passing through stress cycles and is constantly looking for avenues to optimize profitability in processes, but interestingly they overlook the tangible and intangible corrosion losses, post shipments to actual usage by the customer.
